Big Brother

On Thursday the 13 we had a treat making day at Aunt Alisha's house. Treyven got a little bored and decided to entertain himself with a bowl. What a funny little fellow.
Treyven sure does love his little brother. He is always wanting to give him hugs and always goes over and says "hi".

Lately Treyven has been learning to use silverware. He is getting better at using a fork and drinking out of a regular cup. But boy he sure is messy!

We have been trying to teach Treyven about prayer. We have him kneel or sit with us for evening family prayers and at the table we ask him to fold his arms. At first to him folding his arms was tucking his hands beneath his chin and having his elbows out like chicken wings. Now he is getting the hang of folding his arms. The other morning David was in doing his homework and Treyven went into the study with his arms folded. David said a prayer with him and then a minute later heard the rustle of the cereal bag. Treyven had wanted to pray over his food. He is so stinkin smart! On the 17th mom went back to work. We have a babysitter named Hettie that comes to the house to watch the boys. Mom sure misses her boys when she is at work.

Sitting on Santa's lap. You went up there more to get to the toys and the bag of candy they were handing out.
Haha, mom is busy and I can get in the fridge where the treats are hidden. What a great lunch!
Not sure when this picture was taken :)

On Wednesday the 4th we went to Grandma and Grandpa's ward Christmas party. You had a lot of treats to eat and you had fun running around and seeing Santa. You ate part of a roll and then for the rest of the evening all you would eat is the treats. You are so picky. We came home with some treats in a Styrofoam container and while mom was feeding the baby you got into them and started eating them and making a big chocolaty mess. On Thursday the 6th I had you weighed. You are 23.5 pounds and you are 36.8 inches tall. You are mommas big boy. On the 7th we went to our ward party. You didn't have a whole lot of fun there. It was very crowded and you were fussy. We spent the weekend at the cabin.

16 months

Treyven loves to play in boxes. This is the Christmas tree box. While dad was putting up the tree, Treyven played in the box.
We just love this shirt. It has a skunk which is grandmas favorite animal on it and it says "It wasn't me"
Treyven can get into one of our fridges. I am afraid that he will get stuck in there one day.
Pancakes. I think next to bread his favorite food is pancakes.
More playing in the box. This time he has his blanket and his book.
What a little stinker our Treyven is. He is always on the go. mom cannot look away for a second before he is into something he shouldn't be. Treyven has mastered climbing on the dinner chairs and the table. He can get on the couch and the beds. He tries to climb into the co-sleeper with David. He still tries to steal David's blankets and he grabs David's clothes and tries to pull him around (we don't let that happen). Treyven can say so many words and he understands so much. When asked to go get a diaper he will. He understands when we tell him to get into his high chair to eat. He understands when you ask him if he wants to take a bath. He just is so very smart. He knows who Jesus is and at church he points at the pictures and says Jesus. He can say: David, banana, bread, diaper, brother. yes, thanks. thank you, oh no, book and so many other things. He loves to read. He is just a happy boy and we love him so very much. He likes to take naps and he loves to be outside with dad. Sometimes when we are leaving he will "help" carry the carseat to the car.

Mom took this picture at Great Grandma Humes house. We went to visit her on the 21st. She brought out this rocking chair and rabbit and you loved both!
You went potty in the potty chair on the 20th. Mom really would love to have you potty trained before she goes back to work. You are getting to be such a big boy. YOu can climb up onto chairs, the table, beds and couches. You get into everything. As soon as mom or dad turn their back you run right for baby brother and try to grab at him. We have to keep a really good eye on you. New words that you have said are: David, Thanks, bread and Jesus. You really love bread. Mom has grown accustomed to your big boy haircut :) You take a good nap each morning. Dad puts you down right before he leaves for work and most days you sleep for two hours.

First haircut at a salon.

This week dad took the little guy to get his haircut by Aunt Lucinda. She was going to fix it from when dad cut it last.
Here you are with your long luscious locks awaiting the torture.
 During the process.

The final results. This made mom cry, all your curls are gone. Your hair is so short :(
It will be a while before mom lets anyone near your hair with scissors again!

Haircut number 2

The front before we started.
The back before we started.
The front after.
The back after.
Pile of hair :(

Another haircut for the little man. It was getting out of control and as much as mom hated to do it, well it needed to be done. In places his hair was five inches long. We got asked again tonight if he was a girl.
Now he has short, short hair :( he still has some curls in the back :)

Sunday August 19, 2012

This morning dad went in to get you out of bed. When he brought you into our room he had you wrapped in a blanket. Last night when mom put you to bed she just put you in bed in your diaper. It has been so warm lately and our air conditioner doesn't work all that great. At some point during the night you decided that you did not want your diaper on. So this morning your were buck naked when dad got you out of your crib. What a funny boy!

Day 343

No picture today. My camera is still over at grandma's house. Today mom and Treyven were playing in moms room. Mom had her 32oz cup on the nightstand and Treyven wanted it. Mom held the straw up to his mouth not worried that the cup had Pepsi in it because Treyven doesn't know how to use a straw. Boy was mom surprised when Treyven started sucking and actually got a drink. Mom let him take a few sips before putting the cup away. The rest of the Pepsi went to waste because even though Treyven can drink thru a straw he had a ton of backwash and moms not to keen on backwash. Treyven was an ornery bugger this afternoon and evening. Whenever he didn't get exactly what he wanted he threw himself on the floor and cried. He is to young to throw tantrums :(

Luckily not any major amount got on anyones clothes so we were able to stay through the whole meeting, we just went through a lot of baby wipes. After church you took an almost three hour nap, a much needed break for mom!

Day 311

This morning while in your room you got this orange washcloth out of the basket and you carried it around with you all day.
See the washcloth.
The washcloth is hiding behind the banana chair (so is a little boy).
The washcloth is behind the chair still, don't worry it will be brought out shortly.

Treyven is so very smart and cute. Today he carried around his orange washcloth all day. It was funny, then late this afternoon he spit up and I cleaned up the mess with his washcloth. I put the orange one in the laundry and tried to give him the purple washcloth but he wanted nothing to do with that. Tonight David and I were sitting at the kitchen table and Treyven was blocked in the living room by the banana chair laid on it's side. I looked over and all I could see was the top of treyven"s head and his eyes, the he would"pop" up so I could see more of him. I laughed and so he kept doing it. It was the cutest thing ever. Treyven has also been walking all over the place with his tongue out of his mouth. I am worried that he is going to trip and bite thru his tongue.

Day 309

Today we went with Grandma Bushar to Costco so we could buy some diapers and other things. Dad combed your hair after your bath and you look so very handsome and grown-up.
In the afternoon we went to Grandma and Grandpa Beasley's house to visit.

Friday, June 1, 2012

Day 308

Grandma and Grandpa Beasley just got back from visiting Great Grandma and Grandpa Beasley and they brought Treyven a gift. Great Grandma Beasley found this Tonka truck at a yard sale and thought that it would be the perfect gift for Treyven. She was right. He LOVES it. He pushes it everywhere and while he pushes it he makes this noise with his lips. It's the cutest thing.
The picture is blurry because he wouldn't hold still, always pushing the truck to some new destination.

Day 306

Today dad let Treyven try a bite of his tuna fish sandwich. Little guy likes to try anything that mom and dad are eating.

Tuesday, May 29, 2012

Day 305

Treyven got hold of a straw and decided that it was a good teething toy.

Monday, May 28, 2012

Day 304

Today was Memorial Day. We went swimming at the Veyo pool. Treyven had a good time for a little while and then he starting shivering and decided that he was done. After that he sat snuggled up with momma wrapped in a pool towel. Grandma and Grandpa Bushar brought us dinner from Applebees.

Saturday, May 26, 2012

Day 302

Treyven enjoying an Otter Pop
This morning we had another yard sale then we took a whole bunch of stuff to DI. While we were dropping our stuff off at DI some guy came thru with two jogging strollers. One single and one double. DI is not allowed to take strollers, they were going to throw them away but they let me have the double. So now we have a double stroller for when the baby is born.

Day 301

This evening Grandma Beasley babysat so mom and dad could go on a date to celebrate moms birthday. This is how you fell asleep, with your little butt in the air.

Thursday, May 24, 2012

Day 300

Dad made this baby announcement to send out to our relatives to let them know that we are pregnant.
Look at mommas little love bug!!!

Wednesday, May 23, 2012

Day 299

We went to Golden Coral for dinner tonight to celebrate Christy graduating from Elementary school. They have a chocolate fountain and mom shared some of that chocolaty goodness with Treyven.
After dinner we went to lins to pick up some groceries. Dad got one of the carts with the car in front for Treyven to sit in. The little guy thought that was the neatest thing!

Tuesday, May 22, 2012

Day 298

Today mom took you shopping. We went to Gymboree and got you some new church clothes that were on sale. Then we went to Children's Place and got you some cool sunglasses. So far you aren't to fond of the sunglasses. Mom hopes that by the time we go to Disneyland you will keep them on. This afternoon we went to Christy's school and watched her dance. Then mom and dad took you to a dermatologist appointment. Your little thing on your bum has a couple of open pits in it. The dermatologist said that he thinks it appears to be a venous malformation more than a hemingioma. We just have to watch it. There are no real treatments for it other than if we want to spend thousands of dollars and have it lasered off. Right now we will just watch it and leave if alone. Good thing it's on your bum.

Monday, May 21, 2012

Day 297

Can you see all six teeth?
I just love this guy and I just have to take so many pictures of him.
He is such a happy baby most of the time, we are a lucky family to have him!!!

Sunday, May 20, 2012

Day 296

What a stud!
My handsome man :)
Yesterday mom and dad bought you a new church outfit. You really needed some new church clothes. Mom didn't have time to hem the pants before church! Today you were super ornery. You took a short nap after church and woke up crying, mom calmed you down and put you back to bed. You woke up a short time later crying. Mom feed you a bottle, during the time you were eating you would suck for a second then push the bottle away and cry then you would suck some more. This went on until the bottle was gone and then mom put you back to bed. You have a crazy rash on your back that mom and dad are not sure what it's from.

Day 293

Some day I just have to post more than one picture. Today is one of those days. As I sat on the couch I watched Treyven crawl under the table to play. I'm glad that I keep my camera near by.
Starting out on one side of the table.
Working his way between the chair legs.
And coming out the other side!

Wednesday, May 16, 2012

Day 292

Treyven got a new umbrella stroller today. His regular stroller is nice but it will be nice to have something lighter and more compact for everyday use. Treyven was pretty excited about it and pushed it all over the house. It was funny when I was looking for an umbrella stroller to buy. I went to kid to kid just to look ( I have issues with buying certain things used, so I was just looking) and they had used umbrella strollers for as much or more than the new ones you can get at Walmart. The one we got Treyven is like the one we used to have for Christy. I think they are the same brand. Except hers was blue and had a bear on the back of the seat. All the other stuff is the same.

Day 290

This evening we went to Grandma Beasley's house again for cake and to celebrate cousin Zuriah's birthday.

Day 289

Look at that handsome little man with his two front teeth.
Happy Mother's Day
Today was a busy day. We went to church in Enterprise with Grandma and Grandpa Bushar. Then we drove to Grandma and Grandpa Beasley's house for dinner and games. Grandma made her delicious hamburger, potato and carrot patties and funeral potatoes. After dinner we played games.
