Day 2

Today we hung out in our room at the hospital. You had some blood work done, but for most of the day you slept. Dad and the girls spent the day with us at the hospital. On your left leg is the baby lo jack system that they use at the hospital so that no one can steal you. If a baby is taken to close to the doors on the post partum floor the doors lock and security is alerted. No one was gonna steal you! I spent most of Saturday night awake just looking at you. Dad spent Saturday night with us in the hospital.

Day 1

Happy Birthday Treyven Jake Bushar!
This morning I woke up feeling pretty good but as usual ready to have you born. When David and I were waiting in line at one of the food distributions we go to I had a few contractions. Throughout the day I had a few contractions on and off. At 3:45pm I started having contractions. I started to keep track of how often they were coming. They never did become regular. At 4:30pm my water broke, then the really painful contractions started. We called Grandma Beasley to tell her that my water had broke. We loaded the girls into the car and grabbed my hospital bag and headed to the hospital. When we got there we went to the labor and delivery floor. I was put in a triage room and when the nurse checked me I was dilated to a 9. I was moved to a delivery room and an IV was started. The anesthesiologist came in to try and give me a spinal block but my contractions kept coming and preventing me from getting into the proper position for needle placement. So I was left with having to give birth pain medication free. I started pushing right away and they tried to turn you. You were face up and delivery is supposed to go faster and be less painful if you are born face down. You were delivered face up. You were born at 6:19pm and delivered by Dr. Eric Rice. You weighed 8 pounds 2 ounces. The first thing dad and I noticed was all your brown hair. I was so relieved to finally have you here. It was noticed when you were examined that you have a hemangioma on your lower left buttock. That is the only birthmark that we have found. We spent a few hours in the delivery room and then we were moved to a postpartum room. You met your sisters around 8:30pm. Dad and I are so glad that you are here. We love you!!
